Greetings,
This is my first attempt to answer any LinkedIn questions, so here it goes. The disclaimer is that this is my view point and you have the choice not to accept it.
The title to your question is "I'm searching for new challenges" This got my attention. On further reading it was apparent to me that you are looking for a job change. I am a business recruiter and so here is my view point.
Let me give you a short answer and then a long answer.
Another job will become interesting and challenging albeit for a short while. You need to give yourself something more, like a business venture.
Now for my long answer and let me thank you for really reading through in advance.
Another job is like another girlfriend. Its exciting and there is romance and passion. For a short period after which mostly people drift apart.
A business venture is more like a marriage. Its not perfect, actually it is more imperfect and sometimes painful and boring. But your resolve and determination to keep it together makes you adjust, change and adapt. Its a very long haul.
Having said that let me dwell a bit more about my view of a business.
According to Robert Kiyosaki of the Rich Dad fame, a business is defined with just two parameters. One, you need to have an organization of more than 500 people. Two, take a break of 6 months from your business and still that venture should be profitable equally or more than when you were at it.
Which business venture? Any thing that pleases your aptitude and more importantly fulfills the above two conditions.
A job typically earns you money. Your objective should be to create wealth which a business venture assists you to achieve.
What is wealth?
Robert Kiyosaki gives a fantastic definition of wealth.
Stop working just now and calculate for how long you can live maintaining your current living standard.
Thats the wealth you have created uptill now. So simple!
To sum-up here is the formula to achieve financial freedom. Financial freedom is where you stop working for money.
Convert all your available cash to Assets.
The Asset earns you Passive Income.
When the passive income becomes greater than your expenses.
You have achieved Financial Freedom.
I will invite you to watch a 71 slide presentation about "Time is Money" principle at my virtual home.
Best wishes my friend and I really hope that my answer has added value to your life. Hope to interact with you if you accept this brief explanation.
